In Their Own Words...
I've been coming long enough now so that I feel like I am on the verge of making the transition from when your classes killed me and it was a victory just to finish in some form or another, to now, where I have developed enough fitness to really want to attack the workouts. I have lost weight, gotten stronger, developed better endurance, I recover more quickly and I can do more workouts during a week now.

Cholesterol

We've maintained for the past five years that there is no link between cholesterol and heart disease. People's obsession with lowering their cholesterol has nothing to do with reducing their likelihood of having a heart attack. This is in direct conflict with the message that most doctors, prescriptive drug companies, and the media would have you believe. Here are a few videos that might help you decide for yourself.

This first video is short - easy viewing... a teaser that might raise your curiosity.

This series of 5 videos is from a lecture given by Dr. Malcolm Kendrick. If you were intrigued by the video above, these are a must watch!

Protein Shake Recipes (our favorites!)

Morning Shake + Evening meal Shake + Butternut Squash Soup Morning Shake
1/3 banana
1 orange
1/2 cup frozen (or fresh) berries
1 cup raw whole milk(unpasturized - if raw milk is unavailable for you, use pasturized whole milk)
1 egg (I buy the most expensive, highest quality eggs I can find since I eat them raw)
1 scoop whey protein powder
1 tablespoon SuperFood
7 - 12 ice cubes

Evening meal Shake (good w/ a separate protein for dinner - like chicken, salmon, beef or pork (this does not go in the shake!))
1 orange
1/2 apple
8 grapes
2 celery stalks
1 carrot
1/4 head of cabbage
1 small cucumber
6-10 ice cubes
add water as needed

Butternut Squash Soup
2/3 butternut squash - cut into pieces w/ skin on (remove pulp)
1/3 yellow onion
1 red or green pepper
1 med-large tomato
pinch of cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp marjoram
add chicken or vegetable stock as needed
If you have a Vita-Mix, leaving it on high for 6-7 min will heat it up nicely.
