I’ve got this one down to a science!
6:40pm - 2.5ish blocks
2 hard boiled eggs, 3/4oz cheese - 2.75 blocks protein
2 saltines - .5 blocks carbs
1/2 cantaloupe - 2 blocks carbs
Forgot to get some nuts for the house for fat source…gonna run to the corner store to buy some before dinner. This is what I’ll be eating for dinner:
9:00pm - 3 blocks
1 ground beef hamburger - 3 blocks protein
2 cups green beans - 2 blocks carbs
1/4 cantaloupe - 1 block carbs
~15 cashews - 5 blocks
I am going to eat some extra cashews to make up for my earlier snack. And for the record the cantaloupes at the Co-Op right now are CRAZY good.
I also made sure to drink at least 2 liters of water today in addition any other drinks. When I’m being mindful I drink 2-3 liters of water each day—it makes a big difference in energy level.
Total blocks: 12.5
My goal FYI is eating between 11-13 blocks per day.

Notes:
I went to the farmer’s market near me - it’s literally walking distance from my apartment. It’s gradually grown over the last couple years and has quite a bit of produce to pick from now. I picked up some strawberries and lettuce.
I also got some homemade kettle korn - hence the meal of chicken and popcorn. lol! It was seriously good.
Also, FYI in case anyone has been looking at my log for Zone reference purposes - my weekends are not strict Zone, so my blocks are all wacky.

I think I’m averaging around 12-13 blocks these days, which I’m cool with for now. Once I’m back in the groove for a few weeks and feeling less hungry I may knock it down a bit. We’ll see.
I ate a Balance Bar this morning because I had no time between classes I was teaching to run to the Co-Op to restock so I picked up a Balance Bar from 7-11 on the way in to work. I don’t like eating them since I think they’re just glorified glue and they’re not very filling, but it does in a pinch.
