NOTES: Okay, while technically I am fulfilling everything on my food accountability, the truth is I’m a total brat and when I don’t get to eat what I want to eat I find it hard to eat anything at all.  I will decide I’m just not hungry enough for things that don’t taste like sugary carbs and then eat silly little arrangements of food that aren’t even meals.  So, tomorrow’s goal is to eat a salad, darnit!  I have veggies, dressing, meat for the salad, etc.

Wow - haven’t been in here for a while!

Okay, with Stanwyck’s assistance I am going on an accountability plan for food.  I’ve never been on an accountability plan for food before.  I’ve done Zone and I’ve done Paleo, pretty strictly at times, but was always good with it on my own.  Lately, I’ve slid down a bit of a slippery slope and I want to get back to eating the way I had previously for the last couple years - which as healthier than what I’m doing now!  In the grand scheme of things my diet isn’t so bad, but for me and my goals, it needs some cleaning up.  So here are my rules—this is for the next 30 days and if I mess up, it’s $50 to Michael for each infraction:

1. I will eliminate rice, grains, and potatoes from my diet.  Two exceptions to this rule are sweet potatoes and pumpkin, for post workout only.
2. I will eliminate cheese and milk from my diet.
3. I will eliminate protein bars from my diet.
4. I will make a home-cooked meal from scratch once per week.
5. I will take fish oil every morning and every evening.
6. I am allowed to eat whatever I want on Sundays.
7. While I am in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving I will do my best to stick to my rules, but won’t be held strictly accountable as I’m not going to say no to my grandma’s cooking. smile

All of these things I have done before, so I know I can do it and I know it will feel good!  The first day of this plan is officially Friday the 12th.  I’ll be logging here every day as part of my accountability also, so Michael and everybody else knows what I’m up to.
