I’m Back!

My first “workout” today in 3 weeks.  Left elbow still isn’t totally healed, but it felt GREAT to train again!

Did about 10 reps of:
135# deadlift
65# overhead squat
135# power cleans
ghd sit ups
L pull ups
P bar dip swings
reverse grip push ups
Windmill presses
Kettlebell snatches
135# deadlift
65# overhead squats
reverse grip push ups

disorganized, not for time… just gettin’ back into it.  FEELS GREAT!

So it’s been 2 weeks and 2 days of rest and it feels like FOREVER! 

My body definitely feels better - like it is re-cooperating from lots of small, minor aches and pains.  Still have a few, so am thinking will wait it out until the end of the 3rd week.

When I start up again, I’ll work back into it gradually… but I know I’m in for some serious soreness.  Ugh.

July 30 - ??

Lower left back very tight / sore.  Decided to take at least 1 week off.  Rib is still bothering me from the Navy Seal O course and left forearm strain still there from 4th of July.  Time to rest and recover.

from yesterday (Tuesday)

rounds in 20 min:

500m row
25 squats with a 25 pound plate
15 dips

RESULT:
5 rounds

This was way more brutal than it sounded on paper (surprise)!  The first set of squats after the first row was a killer!

I hate 1 arm overhead anything - squats, snatches, Sotts presses…

5 rounds for time of:
400m run
16, 16kg kettlebell snatch, overhead squat, Sotts press,


RESULTS:
ran out of time before class so only did 4 rounds
time:  19:40

Saturday 7/21/07 - Navy SEAL O Course, Coronado.

Thankful that everyone made it through without any major injury!

Hardest obstacle was the rope swing… I need to practice it another 40-50x to get it down.  Looking forward to going back and going to the top of the cargo net and slide for life!

O Course for Time:  7:59

(would have been dq’d on the rope swing since I touched the landing log with more than just my feet)

Squat Ladder - 1 squat first min, 2 squats 2nd, etc…
- used 55 lbs

RESULT
28 rounds complete
20 additional squats
Total of 426 squats

2 hours later - I’ve lost all fine motor control of my legs.  UGH.  quads are thrashed!
