also taking omega 3 every day - pureone (no fish, i have serious fish allergy) - ordered a few months supply, along with just a regular vitamin for now
Starting back up my food logs after a very long break. I am especially interested in mapping “how I feel” to “what I eat” more accurately so this is the place I’m doing it!
B 2 eggs, slice of mango
coffee
Salad, 5 slices turkey, 5 grapes, handful of almonds
I haven’t posted here since APRIL! Now that Amelia is just over 7 months old I am jumping back in….
A lot of people have asked me “how did you lose the weight???” and noticed that I am THINNER than before I had the baby - a few coworkers even expressed concern that I am TOO thin. Pretty mindblowing considering I have made no extraordinary effort to lose the 50lbs I gained while pregnant. I don’t call it extraordinary because all i did was return to my disciplined approach to eating and crossfitting, which is now such a habitual part of my life that its actually effortless! I’m on month 6 of 90 percent paleo, crossfit 3x a week - that’s it! I also now get about 8 hours of sleep a night and stick to that as much as I can.
I have introduced healthy eating (all organic, mostly paleo) to my husband so I am lucky that there are no off-list foods even in stock at home!
I am convinced that if you can pull off the habit of good eating and crossfit for at least a year you have a lifetime of good health pretty much at your disposal
Hello! With work now a distant memory, I’ve decided to just start logging again here, since there’s very little left of my “old” identity left! I’ve made it through most of my pregnancy without gaining a horrible amount of weight- it seems to be mostly “up front.” I definitely went way outside the bounds of my training diet, which is recommended and totally normal, but the habits I had in place have totally helped me not go off the rails nuts! For other pregnant ladies or planning to be and also are crossfitters - you are sooo much better prepared than the average woman for this!! Yes, I had pizza. Yep, I had more than a few cookies. But so far, I haven’t abandoned the basic principles of sane eating!
Did you know? It’s a complete myth that pregnant women need to “eat for 2”! In all reality you should only be adding about 300-350 calories a day - that’s more like “eating for 1.2”...something I really didn’t know and was quite surprised by. I would strongly recommend trying to comply with this guideline
