I could post my food log for the past couple of weeks, but you’d probably gain a few pounds just from reading it.  My food scale is still in a box probably somewhere in the midwest, but I’m back. 


Tuesday 10/23
22:00 - Subway - 6” double meat turkey on wheat with Swiss cheese, various vegetables, dry.


Wednesday 10/24
8:00 - Starbucks Bacon Avocado Breakfast Wrap, piece of Dk Chocolate
13:00 - Schwarma Laffa (hey, this is NYC!), cabbage, eggplant, and couple bites of free cake.
21:00 - Chinese Food (Pork Dumplings, Sesame Chicken/Broccoli, Beef Lo Mein, No Rice)

I know - today was not the best!

Monday 9/4:

It’s probably clear from previous posts that my Zone discipline sometimes wavers, but this day was insane, ending with a five monster-course wedding banquet feast spread over 6 hours.

Let’s just say, I’m back on the Zone, starting…..now!

An online zone calculator figured that I should be at 17-18 blocks, so I’m trying 17 (4,3,4,2,4).

updates: the last couple of days have gone well - not too hungry & no postprandial sluggishness, so I’ve taken my zone precision up a notch.

Tuesday 8/28:

after a half-hearted Zone effort last week, Sunday began my transition into the real zone.




Sunday 8/26:

7 - wild oats burrito: egg, potato, cheese (almost perfectly 4 blocks)

13.5 – sandwich: turkey, bacon, cheese, sourdough.  mixed vegetables. (6 blocks)

17.5 – one slice of ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread with small piece of camembert. 12g jay robb whey (3 blocks)

20 – 1 cup fat-free cottage cheese with handful of blueberries.  1 omega dark chocolate truffle (4 blocks)

22.5 – some milk before bed (0.5 blocks)

Total – 17.5 blocks
