Whoa, how did that happen? Burch I think you’ve got a point about the timing of the meals. Had lunch super late and even though I tried to compensate with snacks, I was ravenous for the last half of the day.
I’ve been 155 lbs for about 4 months and very happy with my Crossfit progress. However, I should like to return to 160/165 lbs the way I used to be before the ravages of work/school/life took me. So after consulting with Stanwyck and Becca, I think I’ll graduate to 18 or even 19 blocks for a while and see how it goes.

Crap! 3 tablespoons of rice is one block of carbs. Absent my journal, I thought a block of rice was like a cup so I got an orange too. Shit. And I may have indulged a little on the almonds….

Today, I understood why they prescribed issue 21 as is. I’ve been doing it all right, but all wrong. Several weeks ago and overzealous, I ONLY ate meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar in Zone amounts. And I only ate certain foods. I wanted to see the effects of an absolutely perfect Zone diet (i.e. no unfavorables in any category), which were by the way, life changing. The downfall though is when I’m out I don’t know wtf a block of rice, potatoes, pasta, breads, sauces, and who knows what else, looks like. The genius of issue 21 is that there’s a lot of unfavorables zoned in to get you familiarized with everything. Gonna have to start incorporating more stuff…

was short on carbs by like 2 blocks so i got the chips but ate them all ... damn ruffles!
