Day 3 of pushing the “reset” button. So far, so good. Never realized how often brown sugar or bread crumbs sneak into the ingredients list at the whole foods deli bar

Take various vitamins. You never know what small mineral can eliminate the bottleneck to everlasting health.
8g EPA/DHA
1 multi-vitamin/mineral
Made the shift to get all of my vitamins from food instead of pills. I figure the money I used to spend on supplements is better spent on higher quality nutritious food. The only exception is the daily 8g’s of the wonder supplement. I’ll take a multi-vitamin on cheat days, ha!

Ray “the Snackman” Sackman had sucessfully eaten one of every item in the Vending Machine. The entire trading floor erupted in applause as he finished up with a flare by eating 5 Blue M&Ms; one at a time. It took him under 4hrs to consume 9,642 calories. I enjoyed the flick. I found it more educational than entertaining (the tobacco industry movie, Thank You for Smoking – was entertaining) but regardless made an immediate impact on my diet going forward. Nutrition is a relatively new concept for me, so I’m soaking all this stuff up like a sponge. I also find it simply amazing that a head of organic broccoli costs more than a cheeseburger or a bag of Doritos and soda costs less than water, but the movie makes it easier to justify shopping at places like Whole Paycheck, err, I mean Whole Foods. However, I think the Co-op on 15th and Broadway may be the way to go!
Will probably reduce or cut out the 6’s and 9’s once I get my paleo inspired diet in cruise control. Just added the creatine about a month ago, I do not like the taste of it at all. Can’t seem to hide it in any type of drink or shake.
I’m digging this one much more than his other book. I’m finding it much more entertaining. Just like Crossfit, I wish I knew about this stuff like 5 years ago. So, I never realized that I’m 99% corn (and 1% Patron). Not really sure what to think about that, but I don’t think it’s very good, well except for the Patron part, ha!

I love nuts! I was probably related to a chipmunk in a past life. So to my surprise, only after about two weeks, I have been able to go completely paleo nuts! Gone are the honey roasted planters, Dodger stadium peanuts, toffee coated emerald nuts, and the four or five nuts found in a box of cracker jacks; all replaced by raw almonds, raw pistachios, raw cashews, raw brazils, raw sunflower seeds, and unsalted macadamia nuts. PSA: Trader Joe’s sells 1# bag of raw almonds for $4.49!
