It started 4 years ago as an idea, an inquiry. How do we teach our students more about the impact of food and diet on their health and fitness? That idea led to a program (called Food U.) with 12 of our members. With a lot more development and conversation, that program turned into the first Whole Life Challenge with 100 CrossFit Los Angeles members. By Saturday, the WLC is on track to have over 12,000 players! What? Yes... 12,000 - all over the globe!
It's really amazing what can happen when a small group of committed people start taking action on ideas. Think of all the ideas that you have. Lot's of them, right? How do you filter out the good ones from the not-so-good ones? And then when you pare your list to what you think are just the good ones, still a pretty long list, what do you do then?
Based on my experience with the WLC, I have ONE suggestion - BE IN ACTION. Any action... in fact, the smaller, easier and more accomplishable, the better. When you start pairing bunches of little actions together, you start to see things happen - and "all of a sudden" you're changing the world! It's really, truly, that simple.
I don't know what the future holds for the WLC, but given what we've done thus far, a million doesn't seem out of the question!
