Do you know why you train the way you do?
Do you know why a Tabata interval is effective?
Do you know why you do the sets and reps of squats that you do?
Do you know why a handstand is a useful skill?
Do you know why you eat the way you do?
Do you know why gluten is bad?
Do you know why you need carbs after a workout?
Do you know why you're eating grass-fed anything?
Can you answer all those questions? And I mean really answer them, drawing upon your knowledge, not just regurgitating some phrases you heard once.
Do you know how your body works and why you're doing what you're doing? Do you know why you're not doing something else?
It's possible there are more of you out there who can answer these types of questions about your car or your flower garden more easily than you can about your own fitness and nutrition. Are you truly present to and interested in your own body? And if you just said yes to that, are your actions and education demonstrating this commitment?
