I've been eating well, really well, for 7 weeks. In fact, in the last 7 weeks of the Whole Life Challenge, I would say that I've done better with my diet than in any WLC prior. Until yesterday, that is.
Every man has his limits.
I survived a full day on Saturday of preparing for our kids Halloween party - a full day of sugar, baking, cupcakes, cookies. I made it. I was proud of myself.
And then it happened.
I walked into the house and Julia and Dashel were making frosting for the cupcakes. The dreaded words came out of her mouth - "Would you like to lick the bowl?" Harmless as they were to her, they transported me back to when I was 10, in my aunt's kitchen... and there was the bowl - left for licking. I could no longer hold back... my resistance muscle was shot.
And it burst like a dam. First a few licks of the beater, then licking the bowl clean. Followed a little later by a few sugar cookies... and then some favorite chocolate chip cookies. Then the party hit and we served dessert - the yummy cupcakes. I wasn't satisfied after one or two, no, I had to have three!
I feel sick.
No, not emotionally... I literally feel sick to my stomach.
I've eaten at least that much sugar in a day... actually, in hind sight, much MORE sugar than that in a day (think a full tub of Trader Joe's cookies - no I'm not bragging)... and in the past, have NOT felt sick. So... this is actually a breakthrough moment.
Looking forward to week 8 of the WLC. Looking forward to what lies beyond.

In 2 min:
250 row then complete as many burpees in remaining time
In 2 min:
250 row, then complete as as many strict pull ups as possible
B) 3 rds on the 4:
0-1 min 5FS @ 82.5%
2-3 20 TTB (must complete in :40)
