Treating Your Injuries

If you're on the playing field, you're putting yourself at risk, and if you're putting yourself at risk, you can get hurt. This applies to pretty much everything in life, including CrossFit. CrossFit is less like a fitness program than it is like a sport... and in sport, athletes get injured.

We have a number of great people you can go to see when you've got one of those injuries. Three of four are long-time CFLA CrossFitters and ALL offer a discount when you tell them you're from CFLA.

Dr. Lindsey Matthews - sports chiropractor/therapist in Beverly Hills. Works with all sorts of CrossFit athletes and all kinds of injuries. Offers a 10% discount for any CFLA member. (310) 384-1988

I myself have been getting "lasered" by Dr. Matthews for my injured heel. After the first few treatments, it felt remarkably better. These huge improvements have tapered off, but I still feel that the laser treatment is helping. Since people are always asking me about the laser, below is a video of my treatment last week. Tuesday's Workout (NO CAP)
Complete as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of:
6 dumbbell push press (55/35)
100m dumbbell farmer’s carry
24 squats

... and coming Wednesday (CAP)
Take 20 minutes to find today's 1 RM Deadlift
-------------------
4 rounds of:
5 Deadlifts (70% 1RM)
300m Run
- Start a new round every 4 minutes
