If you're on the playing field, you're putting yourself at risk, and if you're putting yourself at risk, you can get hurt. This applies to pretty much everything in life, including CrossFit. CrossFit is less like a fitness program than it is like a sport... and in sport, athletes get injured.
We have a number of great people you can go to see when you've got one of those injuries. Three of four are long-time CFLA CrossFitters and ALL offer a discount when you tell them you're from CFLA.
Dr. Lindsey Matthews - sports chiropractor/therapist in Beverly Hills. Works with all sorts of CrossFit athletes and all kinds of injuries. Offers a 10% discount for any CFLA member. (310) 384-1988
Dr. Marc Golub - doctor of chiropractic who's office is right across the street from CFLA! Works on everything from backs and necks to hips and ankles. Tell him your a CFLA member for a discount. (310) 255-0730
Dr. Alyssa Dazet - Licensed Acupuncturist. Alyssa has been a CFLA CrossFitter for years now and works on everyone for anything She offers $20 off her normal $95 rate for CFLA members. (310) 663-5831
International Sports Performance Institute. Located on 14th St near Pico, ISPI has a staff of professional chiropractors and top notch therapists for anything you need. $500 for your first visit plus 4 follow-ups (a $650 value). (310) 382-1384.
I myself have been getting "lasered" by Dr. Matthews for my injured heel. After the first few treatments, it felt remarkably better. These huge improvements have tapered off, but I still feel that the laser treatment is helping. Since people are always asking me about the laser, below is a video of my treatment last week. Check it out.
